Who Hovid is
Hovid is a listed Malaysian pharmaceutical company with a 20-acre plant in Chemor and a second site in Ipoh. It makes tablets, capsules, softgels, oral liquids and herbal tea, and contract-manufactures for other companies.
The 2017 licence revocation
In January 2017 the Ministry of Health revoked both of Hovid’s manufacturing licences after an audit; the Chemor licence was restored in March 2017. We found no later action. We list it because it is part of the public record.
